Football Recap: Oakland's Rushing Dominance Continues

It's playoff time, and Oakland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Houston Mustangs 42-20 on Saturday. Considering the Patriots have won eight games by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Tamari Hill, who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August.

Hill was just one part of a punishing run game: Oakland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Derrick Miller Jr. and Chandler Day certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Miller Jr. picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Day threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns. Miller Jr.'s longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards.

Oakland's record is now 14-1. As for Houston, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

As of now, neither Oakland nor Houston have any future games scheduled.
