Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newport). They were the clear victors by a 51-28 margin over the Asotin Panthers on Friday. Fans of the Grizzlies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kutter Driver and Jacob Reimers. Driver rushed for 197 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry while Reimers rushed for 160 yards and three scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry.

Newport didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Asotin to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Grizzlies weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 100%.

Despite the loss, Asotin still got an impressive performance from Cody Ells, who rushed for 308 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry.

Newport's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 28.2 points thus far. As for Asotin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Newport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-40 victory against Freeman on the 10th. As for Asotin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-0 win against Reardan on the 10th.
