Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Prairie View Thunderhawks
Legacy is 3-0 against Prairie View since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Legacy Lightning will be playing in front of their home fans against the Prairie View Thunderhawks at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Legacy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairie View in Colorado (Legacy is ranked 87th, while Prairie View is ranked 255th).
Last Friday, Legacy earned a 64-54 victory over Loveland.
Brandon Domsch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Delescinskis, who scored 16 points.
Prairie View suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 70-46 loss at the hands of Northglenn. Prairie View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Legacy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Prairie View, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Legacy was able to grind out a solid victory over Prairie View when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 69-57. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Prairie View's Rashawn Salinas, who scored 25 points along with six assists. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Legacy to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
