Lexington won the last time they faced Ashland and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Lexington Minutemen made off with a 59-58 victory over the Ashland Arrows. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Arrows are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Ashland, their record is now 10-8.

Looking ahead, Lexington won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Princeton at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Princeton will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lexington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ashland, they will square off against Shelby at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
