Baseball Recap: Fairview Victorious

Fairview proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lewis County Lions, sneaking past 6-4. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Jeffery Everetts was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Fairview's record now sits at 8-10. As for Lewis County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will square off against Martin County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Lewis County, they will take on Blazer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
