Volleyball Recap: Martin Luther Spartans vs. Kettle Moraine Lasers

Martin Luther saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kettle Moraine Lasers. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayda Popa paced Martin Luther's offense, picking up three kills. Popa got some help from Taryn Armbruster and her five assists. Gabriella Salzer and Danielle Wise kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Martin Luther's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kettle Moraine, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Martin Luther will face off against The Prairie School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Kettle Moraine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Elkhorn on the 30th.
