Football Game Preview: Lynden Lions vs. West Valley Eagles + How To Watch

The Lynden Lions will take on the West Valley Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lynden sitting on three straight victories and West Valley on eight.

On Friday, Lynden blew past Bremerton, posting a 41-14 win. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Knights are ranked 115th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Valley really took it to Aberdeen for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-7 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 20-point advantage.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lynden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Lynden beat West Valley 34-21 in their previous matchup back in November of 2016. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
