Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Denver Christian Thunder

The Strasburg Indians will face off against the Denver Christian Thunder at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Strasburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Prospect Ridge Academy, taking the game 78-69. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Strasburg relied on the efforts of Nick Glatfelter, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Tyce Bollers, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points. Those 13 rebounds gave Glatfelter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Hopwood, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Denver Christian made easy work of DSST: Cedar on Tuesday and carried off a 71-46 win. The Thunder pushed the score to 56-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Strasburg better keep an eye on Kaden Moore. He was instrumental in Denver Christian's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Moore is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ryan Wind, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

Denver Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Strasburg, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
