Basketball Recap: Dakota Blackburn Key Part of Team Effort in Rebels Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayne, Tolsia was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took down the Fairview Eagles 65-46. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 80-74 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.

Tolsia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dakota Blackburn, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Blackburn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Steeler Salmons, who posted 15 points along with five assists and five boards.

The victory got Tolsia back to even at 1-1. As for Fairview, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolsia will be home for the holidays to greet Mingo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairview, they will host Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
