Soccer Game Preview: New Smyrna Beach vs. Seabreeze

The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas will take on the Seabreeze Sandcrabs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

New Smyrna Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Mainland an 8-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Barracudas sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Their offense was hitting Mainland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Skya Horth led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Seabreeze made sure to put some goals up on the board against Pine Ridge on Friday. They blew past the Panthers 6-2.

New Smyrna Beach has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those seven games. As for Seabreeze, the win got them back to even at 7-7-4.
