Softball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

If Ridgeview was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Providence School last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 11-3 to the Ponte Vedra Sharks on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ridgeview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saige Bialek, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Meilani McNab also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

The loss snapped Ridgeview's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-11 record. As for Ponte Vedra, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Ridgeview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 defeat against Oakleaf on the 10th. As for Ponte Vedra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against West Nassau on the 10th.
