Springfield never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Swink Lions, posting a 42-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won five matchups by 32 points or more so far this season.

Springfield found their leader in sophomore Coltin Woodhouse, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 23 yards and one TD. Woodhouse's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Springfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.7 points over those games. As for Swink, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Springfield will square off against McClave at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups. As for Swink, they will face off against Las Animas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
