Preview: Camden Bulldogs vs. Dreher Blue Devils
The Camden Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Dreher Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Camden can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Marlboro County 62-7 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-0.
Grayson White had an outrageously good game as he threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. White hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Averee Hickmon was another key contributor, rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, Dreher slipped by Lower Richland 21-20 on Friday. The victory was just what Dreher needed coming off of a 53-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Camden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Dreher, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Camden took a serious blow against Dreher in their previous matchup back in October of 2015, falling 47-15. Thankfully for Camden, Earl Preddy (who rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
