Basketball Recap: Kyelah Smith Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Windsor walked away with it. They walked away with a 47-38 victory over the Oxford Wolverines on Saturday.

East Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyelah Smith led the charge by putting up 22 points and eight boards. Bailey Winner was another key player, earning eight points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

East Windsor was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 14-5 when they've passed the ball that well.

East Windsor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coming up, East Windsor will head out to face off against Plainville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
