 After two games on the road, Westminster is heading back home. They will take on the Denver East Angels at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game  this season.
 Westminster is headed into the  matchup fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Denver West on Wednesday as Westminster made off with  a  25-2 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Westminster with their most commanding win of the  season.
  Ceezar Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Garcia was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Micheal Davidson was a standout: he scored four  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Espinoza, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 4-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Denver East was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  5-1 to George Washington.
 Denver East also got a good showing from  Stevie Anthony, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate, Denver East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Henry O'Rear, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Westminster's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Denver East, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Westminster has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.7  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Denver East struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 9.7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Westminster might still be hurting after the  14-1 defeat they got from Denver East  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. Thankfully for Westminster,  Jackson Peiker (who   struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk)) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
