Soccer Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Albuquerque Academy + How To Watch

While Albuquerque Academy's victory against Los Alamos wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers had just enough and edged out the Hilltoppers 1-0. Albuquerque Academy's winning goal came courtesy of Sabine Craig.

Albuquerque Academy used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Los Alamos. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Ingrid Gilchrist (80), Craig (55), and Ella Julian (80). The trio had averaged 27.7, 23.2, and 49.6 minutes respectively before Saturday's matchup. Craig made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The win (which was Albuquerque Academy's tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those ten contests. As for Los Alamos, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Coming up, Albuquerque Academy will host Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Los Alamos, they will take on Moriarty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Los Alamos their first taste of in-conference action this season.
