Avon Lake took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Steele, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Shoremen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the Comets on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Shoremen considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Isabelle Schilens, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Briana Webster was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
