Blue Ridge had won four straight games and Opal Maralit did her part to make it five on Friday. The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers put the hurt on the Berea Bulldogs with a sharp 58-36 win thanks in part to Maralit, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Talia Maxwell was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Blue Ridge's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Berea, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Daniel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Daniel knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Blue Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Berea, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
