Baseball Recap: Park Vista Find Success

It's playoff time, and Park Vista had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Vero Beach Indians 2-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-7 victory on Thursday.

Cody Wexler tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Park Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Bavaro, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Park Vista hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vero Beach struck out eight times.

The win made it two in a row for Park Vista and bumps their season record up to 24-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Vero Beach, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-4.

As of now, neither Park Vista nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
