Volleyball Recap: Dover's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dover came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the West Holmes Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crimson Tornadoes also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2019.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dover was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-10.

Caroline Hanner paced Dover's offense, picking up ten kills. Hanner got some help from Quincey Werntz and her 25 assists. Hanner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kelsey Kazelman, racking up three apiece.

Dover's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for West Holmes, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Dover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tuscarawas Valley on the 23rd. As for West Holmes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Loudonville on the 23rd.
