Softball Recap: Harborfields Tornadoes vs. Amityville Memorial Warriors

Harborfields's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Amityville Memorial Warriors a 17-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tornadoes as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Harborfields got a great performance from Lily Thompsett as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Christiana Ebe was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Riaz, who went 1-for-4 with five RBI and one run.
