Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Legacy

Legacy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They beat the Memorial Mavericks by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Leopards' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Mavericks are ranked 42nd).

Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Memorial's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Coming up, Legacy will host Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Memorial, they are taking a road trip to take on Wylie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
