Soccer Game Preview: Northeast Early College vs. LBJ Austin

The Northeast Early College Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the LBJ Austin Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Northeast Early College is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Austin Achieve on Friday. They lost 4-1 to the Polar Bears. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Roger Amador, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when LBJ Austin challenged Eastside Early College on Friday. LBJ Austin had just enough and edged Eastside Early College out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for LBJ Austin and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Northeast Early College, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 11-2.

Northeast Early College took their win against LBJ Austin in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 5-0. Does Northeast Early College have another victory up their sleeve, or will LBJ Austin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
