Recap: Anthem Prep Eagles vs. Antelope Rams
The Anthem Prep Eagles posted their biggest victory yet this season on Monday. They breezed by Antelope at home to the tune of 44-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Anthem Prep.
Anthem Prep found their leader in underclassman Madi Hatfield, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hatfield has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Purvis, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.
Anthem Prep pushed their record up to 7-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Antelope, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anthem Prep will take on Mayer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Mayer is ranked 269th, while Anthem Prep is ranked 252nd). As for Antelope, they will head out on the road to face off against Salome at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Salome will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
