Volleyball Recap: Watertown Starts Season with Win at Home

Watertown took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Arrows, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Watertown walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-6.

Watertown was led to victory by Andi Olson and Kynsee Russell. Olson had 14 digs, while Russell had 36 assists and 12 digs. Those 14 digs gave Olson a new career-high.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Watertown is set to challenge their familiar foe Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pierre T.F. Riggs will take on rival Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
