Basketball Game Preview: Lone Jack Mules vs. Stover Bulldogs

The Lone Jack Mules will take on the Stover Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Lone Jack sitting on seven straight wins and Stover on four.

Last Friday, Lone Jack was fully in charge, breezing past Wellington-Napoleon 60-32. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Stover beat Warsaw 55-51 on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Wildcats are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lone Jack pushed their record up to 16-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points on average over those games. As for Stover, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.
