Basketball Game Preview: Colfax Bulldogs vs. Freeman Scotties

The Colfax Bulldogs will take on the Freeman Scotties at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Colfax's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Colfax made easy work of Liberty and carried off a 70-48 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Freeman came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Broncos, posting a 58-28 win. Given the Scotties' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Broncos are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colfax's victory was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Freeman, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Colfax strolled past Freeman in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 80-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colfax since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
