Recap: BASIS - Chandler Bobcats vs. BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage Academy, the BASIS - Chandler Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against BASIS - Scottsdale by a score of 70-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

BASIS - Chandler found their leader in underclassman Kalan Karuppana, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. Karuppana hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaden Moore-Kosslow, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Nithish Prakash and Jacob Shamoun certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Prakash scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Shamoun scored 20 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Shamoun scored 15 or more points. Blake Tropper was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

BASIS - Chandler's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

BASIS - Chandler will be playing at home against Dream City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully BASIS - Chandler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. BASIS - Scottsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
