Basketball Recap: Crescent Takes a Loss

Crescent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-16 loss at the hands of the Walhalla Razorbacks. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 33rd).

Walhalla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kami Roach led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Roach a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miley White, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Walhalla, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Crescent has already played their next contest, a 66-18 defeat against West-Oak on the 31st. As for Walhalla, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 85-20 win against Pendleton on the 31st.
