Soccer Game Preview: Cherokee vs. Grainger

Cherokee hasn't had much luck against Grainger recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Cherokee is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Cherokee's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Volunteer. While Cherokee didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-9-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Grainger was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to Greeneville. Grainger haven't had much luck with Greeneville recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cherokee's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Grainger, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
