The La Jolla Vikings will square off against the High Tech SD Storm at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. La Jolla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

On Friday, La Jolla made easy work of Kearny and carried off an 18-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Jerri Taylor was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Roxanne Metcalf, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

La Jolla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Lincoln hit High Tech SD with a 12-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Storm came up short against the Hornets, falling 20-3.

High Tech SD saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucia Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

La Jolla's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for High Tech SD, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

La Jolla beat High Tech SD 11-7 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
