Volleyball Recap: Stagg Starts Season with Victory Against Johnson + How To Watch

Stagg took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Johnson Warriors by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Delta Kings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Johnson scored at least 22 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Mia Junez paced Stagg's offense, picking up five kills. Junez got some help from Alexis Fandrich and her six assists. Victoria Lopez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Stagg has already played their next contest (against Edison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Rosemont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
