Baseball Recap: Southwind Has No Trouble Against Oakhaven

Southwind won the last time they faced Oakhaven and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Damarian Belland, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Dallas Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Southwind has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Oakhaven, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwind will square off against Houston at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakhaven, they will head out to challenge Westwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
