Paige Hotze put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April on Monday. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Hotze and East Central have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Franklin County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are 8-1 against the Wildcats going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
