Bagdad came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Maryvale Prep Matador 57-38.

Bagdad has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Maryvale Prep, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Bagdad will be home for the holidays to greet Desert Heights Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Heights Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Bagdad likes a good challenge. As for Maryvale Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Phoenix Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
