Friday just wasn't the day for Newkirk's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Kansas Comets on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Newkirk has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Kansas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.
