Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Westhope/Newburg's Third in Last Four Outings

Westhope/Newburg won the last time they faced Dunseith, and Macy Bryans did her part to make sure it happened again. The Westhope/Newburg Sioux enjoyed a cozy 62-46 victory over the Dunseith Dragons on Friday thanks in part to Bryans, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Westhope/Newburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Dunseith, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Westhope/Newburg will head out to take on Parshall at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunseith, they will welcome Nedrose at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
