Football Recap: Atlanta Huskies vs. Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts
If Atlanta was feeling good fresh off their 64-36 takedown of Hale last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Atlanta Huskies had to suffer through a 54-14 loss at the hands of the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbolts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Despite the loss, Atlanta still got an impressive performance from Landon Galea, who picked up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown. Galea's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards.
Atlanta wouldn't let Mio-Au Sable keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Eli Hagemeister was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mio-Au Sable, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
As of now, neither Atlanta nor Mio-Au Sable have any future games scheduled.
