Johnson named National Player of the Week presented by Playtex Sport.
Rylie Johnson from
Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) High School has been named the first girls National Player of the Week presented by Playtex Sport. The senior forward led her team to a Class 5A Division I title. In the title game she had an assist on the only goal of the game and was key to detaining Xavier Prep's offensive charge, as she was moved to defender in the second half.
Johnson, who has signed to play at Coastal Carolina University next year, is the Arizona Republic's Big Schools Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Hamilton finished with a record of 25-0-1. Johnson completed the season with 25 goals, 13 assists, and now National Player of the Week to add to her list of accolades.
