Basketball Recap: Heritage Classical Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crosspoint Christian last Monday, Heritage Classical Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Heritage Classical Christian Academy Hawks fell 43-31 to the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. The match marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Heritage Classical Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Josh Gray, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Gray has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joshua Mayher, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Liberty Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tommy Meyer out in front who scored 18 points and four steals. Willy Mueller was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 17 boards.

Heritage Classical Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Heritage Classical Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 64-57 victory against Eagle Ridge Christian on the 8th. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-34 defeat against Westwood Baptist Academy on the 8th.
