Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. Wendover Wildcats
The Rowland Hall Winged Lions pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Wendover by a score of 65-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (55), Rowland Hall still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Rowland Hall still got an impressive performance from Yeshi Tsering, who scored 27 points. Tsering is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landen Brady, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Rowland Hall and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Wendover, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Rowland Hall will be playing in front of their home fans against North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (North Summit is ranked 53rd, while Rowland Hall is ranked 74th). As for Wendover, they will take on Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
