Soccer Recap: St. Edward's Takes a Loss

St. Edward lost against Melbourne Central Catholic back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Edward's Pirates fell just short of the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers by a score of 1-0.

St. Edward's was without their leading scorer, Lilly Jensen, in Monday's match. With Jensen sitting this one out, Joselyn Martin got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 51.9).

St. Edward's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.

St. Edward's will head out on the road to face off against Master's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against West Shore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
