Baseball Recap: St. John Paul II Comes Up Short

St. John Paul II suffered their closest loss since March 5th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Valwood Valiants by a score of 7-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Valiants: they've now lost four in a row.

Evan Bopp was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Wyatt Visnovske was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

St. John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Valwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Coincidentally, St. John Paul II and Valwood will both be playing Brookwood the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Valiants will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
