Recap: KIPP King Lions vs. Oakland Unity
The KIPP King Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Oakland Unity on the road to the tune of 93-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory KIPP King has posted since November 20, 2023.
It was another big night for David Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Ledezma, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
KIPP King's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Oakland Unity, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
KIPP King will head out on the road to take on Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leadership is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Oakland Unity, they will take on Wilson Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
