Basketball Recap: Archbishop Spalding Has No Trouble Against St. Mary's

There's no place like home for Archbishop Spalding, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the St. Mary's Saints with a sharp 45-24 win on Wednesday. The contest marked the Cavaliers' most dominant victory of the season.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexandra Vandiver, who posted five points and five boards. Maddie Murray also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Archbishop Spalding moved to 5-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for St. Mary's, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.
