North County found a leader in Maddox Basler as the squad took down Central on Tuesday. Basler was unstoppable, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for North County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Basler and North County will head out on the road to square off against DeSoto at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons will enter the matchup having just beaten St. Clair, so the Raiders will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
