Football Game Preview: New York Mills Marauders vs. Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights

The New York Mills Marauders will square off against the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

New York Mills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New York's top teams: Waterville, who was ranked fifth at the time (New York Mills was ranked 20th). The Marauders were dealt a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Indians on Saturday. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frankfort-Schuyler). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-7 victory over Sauquoit Valley. The win continues a trend for the Maroon Knights in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won six in a row.

Frankfort-Schuyler's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for New York Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

New York Mills was taken down by Frankfort-Schuyler 60-8 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Marauders were down 54-0.
