Baseball Recap: Lexington's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Lexington can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Concordia Fghtng Orioles. The Minutemen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fghtng Orioles, too.

Alex Kraft and Hunter Meyer made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Kraft pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Meyer tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. At bat, Kraft got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Meyer went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Trey Perez and Kale Sander did most of the damage at the plate: Perez went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double, while Sander went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave Sander a new career-high.

The win got Lexington back to even at 4-4. As for Concordia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Lexington will challenge Knob Noster at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concordia, they will host Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
