Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Murray

Hillcrest hasn't had much luck against Murray recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Huskies will square off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Hillcrest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Desert Hills. Oliver Rojas had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Hillcrest.

Meanwhile, Murray entered their tilt with Park City last Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Miners. Considering Murray have won seven matches by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Hillcrest pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Murray, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.

Hillcrest couldn't quite get it done against Murray when the teams last played back in April as they fell 4-2. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
