After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Davidson, College Prep & Leadership Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Chatham Central Bears by a score of 20-12. The Royals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Chatham Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gavin Williams forced two fumbles and made 16 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Tyler Congrove was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Carson Jackson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Chatham Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
